We believe the Holy Spirit leads (Zechariah 4:6; John 3:8; 6:63) the Colorado Springs Christian Church (Galatians 2:14-15, 20-21, 3:1-6), as we follow Him by faith expressing itself through love (Galatians 5:6b). In John chapter 14:15-31 Jesus tells His disciples that He will send the Holy Spirit to guide, teach, and disciple them and us. The truth is, we can do nothing with out the Holy Spirit.
Therefore, we know that our best human efforts will fail if the Holy Spirit is not leading the CSCC where He wants us to go (Zechariah 4:6; John 6:63). The Holy Spirit – not our evangelist or staff – has an inspiring purpose – vision and mission for the CSCC. In humility, we surrender our will and plans, believing the Holy Spirit leads us as He desires and intends (John 3:8). Therefore, our faith and love is not hyperbole, grandstanding, religious jargon, or tied to any denomination!
So, it is our unwavering conviction that we are not a staff-led church. We are not an evangelist-led church. We are not an elder or teacher-led church. We are not a deacon-led church. We are not Pentecostal or overseen by any denomination. The CSCC is a church led powerfully by the Holy Spirit from the inside out (John 3:8; 6:63; Romans 8; Galatians 3:1-6).
