The Story recounts the power of the Gospel in this way: We are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe, yet at the very same time, we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope.
Compelled by Christ’s love for us, we desire to grow daily to be more like Jesus by living in God’s presence, empowered by the joy and peace of the Holy Spirit within us.
We live by the Spirit, we keep in step with the Spirit, and we bear the fruit of the Spirit to the glory of God!
Now to Him Who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen
We are not ashamed of the Gospel because we believe that the Gospel is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone. For in the Gospel, the righteousness of God, not humans, is revealed!
We believe God, by His grace, turns us from our sins to Jesus Christ, and by our faith in His righteousness, we follow Him into His death, burial, and resurrection – baptism, where God raises us up to a new life in Christ, led by the Holy Spirit.
Compelled by Christ’s love, the Colorado Springs Christian Church strives to live by the Spirit, keep in step with the Spirit, and bear the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, and peace—to the glory of God!
